OK, I'll admit I was skeptical. Not so much now. I got one of these as an (early) Christmas present. We are terrible in this house with belated satisfaction. In any case, I conscientiously brewed my first batch, more interested than anything else in the novelty of the machine and process. My first batch (fried pike at Starbucks) was fun. He has transformed my everyday coffee into an affordable luxury. As strange as it may sound, nitro makes coffee taste sweet despite the lack of sugar. This first batch didn't last long. Now I'm taking the show to the streets. I took it to my neighborhood Christmas/Holiday party and it was the perfect conversation starter and a good driver's option. I've had a few other social successes (e.g. kids party, juice boxes, parents standing around looking for something that isn't juice). I'm pretty sure he sold a few of these in our area. Saying that in the (over?) crowded coffee/coffee region of Seattle is really saying something. My favorite part so far is the convenience and affordability. I work in a hospital at night and the cafes are closed on the way to work. Late night hospital coffee is prison quality at best. I can grab a pint of this on the go and be caffeinated enough to last a long night. All in all, this is one of those gifts that I wouldn't buy for myself, but now that I have it, I'm giving up. I consider that a win.
