Assembly required much more effort than expected. The part of the back that bolts to the bottom isn't at just the right angle to connect easily. It took me a lot of strength to bend them so I could attach the screws. After I put it together, it's comfortable and feels sturdy, although the seat material is a bit rough. Edit: I'm lowering my rating to 1 star because the base broke after about 9 months of fairly normal use. The central column broke through the floor of the base.
