I like the spoons in general, they are great for stirring coffee in a ceramic coated coffee mug. Four stars for strength as the direction of the fibers on the two spoons encourages splitting. I could have returned them but instead decided to do a quick sanding and apply a light coat of food grade mineral oil. I apply the usual light coat of mineral oil to all my wooden kitchen tools (including my cutting board) after they have been hand washed and dried. This will help them last a very long time. Note. I found these spoons to be very handy for cooking so I wanted them to be lacquer free. For this reason, they do not have a very pleasant mouthfeel (dry feeling). So if you're looking for spoons for eating, you should look for ones that are lacquered or have some other food-safe coating. I will happily order more from this seller.
