I give 2 stars because at least the "gold" glitters - the only thing that glitters. The smaller image is life size, looks flat, gloomy and dark - that's what your natural vision will see (it actually contains a lot of dark green). The second photo, the larger one, is zoomed in 5x, then I got really close to the camera and also rotated it directly under the big light in the dining room to make it look a little better. Maybe it looks better outside in bright sunlight. However, with normal indoor lighting, you will get a smaller image. Opal is clearly synthetic, it looks sad. i give it back I wasn't expecting a real opal at $16 but thought it would look better based on the reviews and photos posted. There is a photo of a woman in a white hoodie and she looks amazing, that's definitely not the one that landed in my inbox. It's a little more nickel, less than I thought. Disappointing, no question. it will be nothing but garbage. But then again, a little girl would probably enjoy it, I'd say maybe 12 or younger. This is the most honest review I can give you.
