Review on D O T DAYTONA CRUISER DULL BLACK by Jake Larson

I measured my head and ordered according to their size chart (the size is very large) but the helmet was too uncomfortable to wear. It caused painful pressure points on the sides of my head and had absolutely no comfort padding, just hard foam covered with a thin fabric lining. Even worse was the horrible chemical smell, because the helmet smelled like vomit, and that was no exaggeration. After leaving this helmet in a well-ventilated place for 2 days, the strong smell of nausea persisted. That helmet came with a warning from the state of California that it contained some kind of cancer-causing chemical, which is crazy. Sure, the helmet looked good, was lightweight, and unobtrusive, but who cares when it's too uncomfortable to wear, smells like vomit, and can cause cancer. I can't believe Daytona released a helmet with such serious flaws as I have owned their Hawk half helmet for years and love it so much. I am very disappointed in this helmet and have sent it back.
