Works perfectly, holds my 11 inch iPad with minimal play. The arm is quite stiff and difficult to bend, this type of arm is expected to hold anything without sagging. When typing on the screen, it shakes a bit, I don't see a single hand holding the bulky tablet completely still while typing, at least it didn't move at all. The ball joint is starting to fail, it turns too easily like a steering wheel but still has the expected resistance when turning up and down. It's actually nice to be able to rotate it so easily while drawing π . I unscrewed the metal ball to see if I could fit other mounts, if I remember correctly it's larger than the standard camera mount threads, thought about buying an adapter to fit the standard camera mount, I did could only fail if this joint is complete. The phone/tablet clip holds securely, I wouldn't mind sleeping underneath if I wanted to set this up. It holds the screen to my face without fuss when I want it to. The thread loosens easily in the table clamp and lever connection when bending and manipulating the lever, maybe some thread lock can fix this, annoying at first, now just treat it as a handy turning mechanism if I need it for a while π .Would I buy another one? nope It is very convenient when the tablet floats and is in comfortable viewing positions. It's nice to have a helping hand when you're resting and drawing. Just not very good with the purchase π
