MPod mini is a great all-in-one solution to connect your smartphone/media player/etc. at a certain angle, at a fraction of the price. Whether it's used for photography or entertainment, it's easy to use and just works. If you haven't used Joby yet, this is a solid device that you'll be able to enjoy for a while. No wonder the MPod mini has become one of my favorite purchases lately and is used multiple times a day. Hopefully they go on sale next week so I can get some of these as spares! To give you some information, I am not a Joby employee but I currently have Joby Micro250, Gorillapod and Griptight products. I use it with my iPhone (5) to take photos, watch movies on the plane or just hold the phone over the table while charging. My other Joby products do the job well, but they're either bulky or too restricted in movement. So I end up carrying a few "pieces" with me or just leave them at home. Imagine the MPod: it's small, has no interchangeable parts or mounts, is very light, but has a very sophisticated grip system. It can support better viewing angles than the Micro250 + Griptight solution, but it's smaller than the GorillaPod Micro + Griptight solution. Excellent! I know you're like, "Chris, I see he's got legs. Can he hold out? The MPod doesn't wrap around things like the Gorillapod because the legs are much shorter. Consider it a very flexible short tripod for your phone and you will be happy. Yes, I called them short, but the legs are long enough that you can stick a large phone (like the DROID MAXX) in your jaw and point it at about a 35-degree angle without it falling off. By the way, are you happy? good, because I've used it to grab the edges of windows, the edges of boxes, canopy lids, etc. It's okay to hang on to SOME things, but it's not as easy to set up for grabs as the Gorillapod's big brother. For me, this is great because without long arms or other components, I can slip it in my bag and take it with me without the hassle and fuss. I was even able to fit the entire setup into a cup holder in my car to keep the phone from flying away while navigating, and it was perfect for that. "Molded" halves that have rubber inside the "C" and are attached with an elastic cord. They fit well on a bare iPhone 5 and I've used cases up to the iPhone 5 in a rescue kit and Droid Maxx sized phones with no problems. The inside of the "C" is cut to tilt the phone slightly inward, allowing more rubber to contact the phone for a more secure grip. MPod mini is the best $20 I've spent on a phone stand so far. I'll update with more details when I think about it, or if you have something you'd like to know - just comment and I'll reply if possible. Thanks very much! Chris
