Base rusts and stains counter; dispenser pump is attached to base
A few things of note: the base of this is metal, and has a cheap paint coating that quickly chipped off, so the metal under it rusted and left stains on our counter and sink. I also didn't realize the soap dispenser itself is connected to the base—the entire product is one piece—which makes it difficult to handle when washing dishes (i.e. picking up the soap) and to clean itself, as it gets buildup and grime stuck in there. We used it for a couple of months, then bought another dispenser from Target.
