The initial smell is very strong, like an ax body spray or something (but that strong smell goes away pretty quickly). Even if the smell disappears, the deodorant continues to work! It is very effective and long lasting! My son has overactive adrenals so he gets FUNKY and had to start using deodorant at 2 (this brand at 3). He has very sensitive skin and this deodorant has never given him any problems (no rashes, redness, etc.). Definitely recommend if you are looking for a cheap and natural deodorant for your kids.
