The crown is not open from below - it has a felt bottom.
Nice crown but didn't realize there was a felt insert underneath. Got this for my dog (yes I am that person) but because he has a bun on his head the crown doesn't fit properly. It would work if the bottom part of the crown was open. I thought of cutting off the bottom but was worried that I would end up tearing off the strap. Just a few things to keep in mind if you plan to use it on a dog. It would be adorable for a child!
