I needed to fill 20 cylindrical vases and had no idea how many bags I would need. And the reviews I read were mixed. Some said they filled more vases, others said filling just a few was enough. I went ahead and ordered 1 pouch and figured I'd order another one later if needed. I dropped the gel balls into a small bucket and added water. I didn't know how much to add but I added enough to cover all the beads. An hour later, the beads absorbed all of the water. I only added more water because I figured it wouldn't be enough to fill all 20 of my vases. Again, all water was absorbed within an hour. I've done this several times and each time the beads were slightly larger. This filled the entire bucket and helped fill all 20 vases to the required level. I'm sure if I kept adding water they would keep growing. I have attached photos from start to finish. I added some color to the pink pearls you see in the vase. They were not included with this purchase. It was a small bag of scented beads that you can find in a dollar store.
