I ordered this seal to fit an aluminum door and frame in my office. My building is older so they didn't install sweeps at all before. It was just a painted metal door that closed on a painted metal door frame. It took about ten minutes to install and I'm not the smartest person in the world. I think if you can put a stamp on the envelope you can put this seal on it. Some other reviewers stated that the tape wasn't sticky enough. Before installation, I prepared the painted metal surfaces by wiping them down three times with alcohol on paper towels. The band seems to be very tight. The difference between pre-installation and post-installation is, for lack of a better pun, the same as inside and outside. I used to be able to hear all the traffic from the street and drafts coming in and out. Now I have none of it. On the recommendation of another reviewer, I ordered two packs to make sure I had enough tape. I had about 10" left after making a U shape around a standard sized (36" x 80") door. So if you want to completely cover the hole (make an O, not a U), you must possibly buy two sets. Another reviewer wrote that "the stickiness loses effectiveness with shipping. Of course it could happen. However, to easily prevent this, simply peel off as much tape as you need at one time. Pull to Example don't subtract 10ft of the backing from the tape but subtract one inch at a time as you stick it on the frame and you'll be fine I highly recommend this product.
