The first thing I usually do when I buy a new car is WeatherTech floor mats. I have never heard of Smartliner. Smartliner was cheaper, not worse. I love it. And they feel like they'll last just as long. Other reviewers have pointed out that moving the seat all the way forward will hit the liner, and that's true. I can't imagine being low enough to have to slide the seat all the way forward. But if necessary you can take a razor or knife and CAREFULLY cut a piece where the seat tracks are to allow the seat to finish its journey. The only time I have to slide the seat all the way forward is to vacuum the car and I still remove the liners to do it.
