for a second home that has been empty for weeks. This home is a ranch in central Texas where temperatures sometimes reach 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I bought these in hopes of reducing the heat in our house while we are away. We currently have some pretty good blinds but you can still feel the heat coming through. I installed these make it easy and did it myself. I installed them in the blinds so I still have the blinds there for aesthetic reasons. When I'm there I pull them all the way out and you don't even realize they're there. They block a significant amount of heat and work much better with our air conditioner. I'm only taking off one star because it's a bit see through on the sides. That is not much. I am assuming you will need custom tints to make it 100% perfect. Overall I am very happy with these shades. They look good from the outside too! Didn't take any photos last time I was there, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to stuff like this. They work really well and look beautiful. I'm not sure I would like it without the blinds in front. Overall a great purchase.
