Overall the unit works great, is a good size and easy to use. I only have a few minor complaints. If you plan to install it yourself, it will require a lot of work. I would recommend getting it professionally installed if that's an option for you. You'll have to change the headliner and run the cable through some tight spots. If you install it yourself, you need electrical knowledge. The instructions are extremely vague and leave you to figure out most of the installation yourself. The parts and hardware don't exactly match. If you are using a 1 1/2 inch plastic spacer you will need to drill your own screw holes. The supplied screws are too long if you don't use a spacer and too short if you don't use one. I had to cut them off about half an inch. The headphones work great and sit pretty well on the child's head. I would give them 3 1/2 stars but that's not an option due to a device oversight but I'm very happy with the final install result ***UPDATE*** It's been installed for about a week now. The device turns off every few minutes. i will return it
