Bought to replace 2 compact fluorescent lights in the garage. Very strong metal fixings that install like a regular lightbulb. They also work great with a downloadable app and/or a very full featured physical remote control. A lot of these folding lanterns on Amazon are bound to very cool temperatures, which are pretty tough, but they're a lot more flexible. You have a good range of color temperatures and brightness, although that's in increments rather than continuous. The downside is that they don't seem to remember your color/brightness settings when you turn off the light switch instead of using the remote or app. We keep the remote next to the light switch and use it instead, which means our garage always comes on at a warmer average brightness. But we can make it darker and warmer for workshop talks, or lighter and cooler for cleaning. And they don't have a warm-up period like the CFLs they replace. They turn on instantly, even below zero. And they appear and disappear as you toggle them on and off. A good thing.
