SCRATCHES glass stovetops!
I bought this diffuser to protect my electric glass stove top from a cast iron pan. Used it for the first time today by placing carefully on the burner and putting the cast iron on top. My glass top, which formerly had one small scratch after 10 years of use, now has a dozen scratches on it. I couldn't feel any imperfections on the bottom of the diffuser with my fingers, but obviously they must be on there, as the cast iron never touched the top of the stove. I am so disappointed.
- If you need to cook on low heat for a long time, this diffuser can help
- The heat diffuser may cause the food to cook unevenly
