This light works very well! Like others I didn't want to use a PIR motion sensor because I just want the light to stay on for as long as I need it instead of going on and off all the time.The proximity detection works very well although I think the detection range is rather 4" than 6". It doesn't really matter to me though so I don't lose the stars. I went with the double glue method, partly because the included screws would be too long, but mainly because I was too lazy. The included tape looks like real 3M glue and sticks really well The included cable management clips (also already double taped on) were a nice bonus and worked ned well to keep the cord out of my sight. The power adapter is not included and I'm glad. I have a million of these lying around and I've only used one to test the light. It says it draws 2A, but I'd be surprised if that were accurate, and probably less, but I haven't tested that. The cleanest solution I could think of to power them was to replace a nearby outlet with one with USB sockets. In the end I chose the "TOPGREENER USB Wall Charger 3.6A (Upgraded)" because it outputs up to 2.4 A per port. I also used a short 90 degree adapter to keep the cord close to the wall and out of the way of the 120VAC plugs. The only thing that worries me is that he has no "memory". When you set the brightness to the level you want, it doesn't remember that level and defaults to around 80% every time you turn it on. A simple way (maybe just a "preset" button?) to enable the default level would be very handy. Overall a very good low profile light that is bright enough.
