Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Empava 30-Inch Stainless Steel Built-in Gas Cooktop with 5 Burners - Model 30XGC5B70C by Joshua Mccall

Excellent, some quirks but you have to dare!

This hob is great. It's not perfect, but for the price it couldn't be better. There is a wiring diagram attached to the manual that will allow you to convert euros to US. - Connect blue to red, brown to black, green to ground. There are 4 brackets for under worktop mounting (they are fixed so no drilling is required) and there is an adhesive seal between the worktop and hob - so no silicone required. Simply turn off the circuit breaker, add the gasket, insert, connect, install the brackets and reinstall the circuit breaker. Installation was effortless, apart from the mess left by the previous hob (current GE model): 1) It's not very deep. You may find, as I did, that your existing hole is too deep. 2) Being a bit smaller, my countertop had silicone residue from a previous installation that was very difficult to remove. Approx. 3mm more in front and 3mm in back, which I fixed with black silicone tape. You can't tell because it's pretty weird. The induction aspect is great. I can boil a full large pot in a few minutes and it responds to temperature changes instantly. It's probably more than 4 times faster than my regular lower powered stove! Incidentally, I have a feeling that lower wattage burners are more powerful than a heavier burner on a traditional stovetop. Last night I used a stainless steel skillet to sautรฉ some mushrooms, which I would never use on a conventional electric stove because it's non-stick. and the mushrooms will burn, and the pan will never get clean. But I found that the mushrooms weren't sticking and the pan wasn't burned. Maybe because steel vibrates at the atomic level? Also on my old (white glass) hob it was a hassle to clean when cooking because everything on the surface was burnt (it even left burn marks if nothing was spilled) but with this hob the glass only gets residual heat so don't burn. Positive aspects: - Cooking is much better than on heating elements. More powerful and instantaneous response to temperature - Easy installation - Touch controls like a phone - no plugging required - Less food sticking to pans - Food won't stick to glass / no visible stains - Price! Cons: - Too shallow depth - Unknown European import brand means parts may not be available. Can the hob be scrapped in the event of repairs? - Fingerprints show up like crazy - I cleaned up some oil splatters with a small amount of Palmolive Ultra Cleaner on a damp cloth and rinsed thoroughly. But after drying, the touch buttons didn't work at all. I panicked. I had to rewash and reapply finger lube to get the buttons working again. It's like the cleaning agent has applied a thin film causing the buttons to not work. That should not happen. - Boost mode for quick cooking, but it would be better to only do it as temperature setting 10 - you need to press the corresponding burner button and then set the temperature to change the temperature. I want him to remember your last distiller choice. It slows things down when something is simmering. - Running a rag over the controls activates the lock button. Then you have to hold it for 3 seconds to unlock it. It would be better if you had to press and hold it for 3 seconds to activate it. While I'm in seventh heaven with happiness. But I just hope it lasts!
