Not exactly what I expected

I wanted to like these shoes. I have Vibram shoes with a sock but didn't like the feeling of my toes being separated. I usually wear a size 7 or 7.5; I have wide feet with short toes. This seven is too short and my fingers go all the way. I wear it without pads so I have more room but I have to wear socks because my butt feels uneven. I wore them a few weeks before a half marathon and thought they were ok. At mile 6 I had big blisters on both balls of my feet. Yes, I take responsibility, I should have trained in it longer or worn an insole. It was a rewarding experience. Pro: They are wide and fit my wide feet well. The color is pleasant. I like the cable tensioner. I like the holes except there is a lot of dirt between my feet and the shoe: the material is hard plastic, not very flexible. The sole is made of thin plastic and looks cheap overall. They make a "smacking" sound when they hit the pavement. I don't like the feel of an uneven texture; Due to the texture I have to wear socks or a liner. I recently bought a size 8 Vibram Minimus, they are perfect!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Expensive
