I ordered this to keep my laptop on my desk. My laptop has to be next to my monitor when I'm working, and in front of the screen for video calls. It holds my laptop and makes it easy to switch between locations. It can slip out of the groove when moving, so you need to hold it from below. I actually wanted to take the laptop a bit higher, but for the price this is a good choice.
