I had high hopes for this USB-C hub - with the rapid spread of USB-C to different types of devices, I wanted to use it with multiple devices for travel communication. With its compact aluminum body, integrated cable and a good selection of ports - 100W power delivery, 3 USB-A 3.0 ports, SD and MicroSD card readers and an HDMI output - it seemed perfect for the job. It should have been. While the power supply, USB-A ports, and card reader work as expected, the HDMI output (essential for connecting a monitor, TV, or projector) is severely buggy - I've had it work once, but each time it was either a distorted image or no picture/connection at all (and it does when used with a source device, cable and monitor that work fine with another similar adapter). As video output is a great use case for this hub, it is not suitable and cannot be recommended.
