When purchasing this wallet I used a regular (non-foldable) front pocket with a spring-loaded money clip. The reason I wanted something different was because I was tired of having problems with another type of wallet - pockets expand and cards start to loosen and fall out, material around the spring clip wears out and lays sharp ones Free edges that cut my fingers when I reach into my pocket. This wallet seems to solve those problems for me. It's a bit thicker because it folds, but I'm willing to deal with it if I get the benefits in return of no sharp edges and less credit and other cards falling out over time. The internal money clips take a little getting used to, but they hold money very well and fold out for easy use. I also like the transparent front screen so I don't have to pull my permissions out anymore.
