I was very happy with my LG watch. I used to think the idea of a smart watch was silly, but I finally saw the appeal of not being tied to my phone. I chose an Android product over an Apple product even though I currently own an iPhone. I plan to leave Apple as soon as possible. In any case, I excitedly unpacked my watch only to find that I needed to charge it immediately before playing with it. After waiting about an hour for a full charge, I paired it with my phone, applied the update, and added a few apps before charging it overnight. On my first full day with it I was very disappointed when the watch would not pair with my phone and worse, died within 2 hours. Very discouraged and thinking I would have to return it, I called LG tech support and was told to perform a factory reset. After this was completed and the watch paired to my phone again, I used it for the second day with much better results. He stayed paired all day, I was even surprised when I received some notifications from Facebook messenger (I still don't know how it happened because there is no messaging app). The battery life is still not what I was hoping for, only around 8 hours. I hope that with some additional tweaks (screen already off and even the ability to turn on with wrist tilt) it will last a little longer. I also hope that if I switch to an Android phone, I'll be happier with my purchase.
