Our very old CD player died so we were looking for a new one to watch movies over the holidays. LESS than half the space of the old one. The next thing I liked was that it included BOTH an HDMI cable and a tri-color connection cable for older TVs. The remote control is small and therefore does not take up much space. One of the improvements I noticed was how FAST the CD reads and happens when you load it when it's ready to play before you start browsing. The picture quality was very good and much brighter than my old player. This was particularly noticeable on the old black and white film. The 2 AAA batteries required for the remote control were not included in the scope of delivery. I was fine with that, because most of the time the furniture is either dead or so cheaply made that it will soon rust. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would buy it again!
