I used a non-punch punching tool and had no problems with it. The angled lugs made them easier and quicker to install than a traditional angled connector. I had a small job - only 6 sockets, but all 6 worked fine the first time. I've had some connectors that spring back into the trapezoidal panel when the cable is plugged in, although it's incredibly difficult to get into the trapezoidal panel during installation. It was the opposite of that - I've paired them with Leviton plates and they snap easily, but are very strong when connecting/disconnecting cables, as I've done several times testing and then connecting to my gear.
