More like shoes in my opinion
I like them because they don't form a toe on the narrow top of most kids' shoes. It is more convenient for a child to wear them at home than in ordinary shoes. I'm considering buying the next size up when my kids outgrow them. I like that they are really cheap and comfortable for my kid.
