These are the best portable headphones I've ever heard. According to my scale, the iPod nano is number one, followed by the CX 200, the Audio-Technica ATH-C505iS, the SONY MDR-E808, and the Sennheiser CX 300-II (5) If the earpiece is not put far enough into the ear canal, the sound will be muffled. The sound almost has a stethoscope quality to it. A void is created when music is turned off, and it can be unsettling to the ears. These headphones are adequate for the novice music listener.
