Review on πŸ”Œ WAVLINK USB 3.0 Docking Station with Dual Monitor Support for Linux, Windows, Mac - HDMI/DVI/VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, 2 USB 3.0 + 4 USB 2.0, Audio by Shakim Yates

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A docking station that makes life easier with USB 3.0 support.

I ordered this to make it easier to turn my laptop into a desktop system when I get home. This device adds 4x USB2, 2x USB3, HDMI, DVI, 1 Gbps Ethernet, microphone input and headset output. Everything is set correctly and works perfectly. but I've never put my laptop to sleep at home when it's plugged in. Out of curiosity, I hooked it up to my Ubuntu laptop and found pretty much everything. now there's even an Ubuntu driver for the DisplayLink chipset. When accidentally plugged into the USB2 port, everything but the USB3 port was initially recognized. although I have not tested it in this configuration. The closed plastic design isn't bad, especially if you're leaving things plugged in primarily as a docking station. As a hub, it still offers good rear access like most desktops. So I see no reason to complain about this as you can always move the block to see where devices need to be added or removed. The included power adapter is a necessity due to the number of supporting chips. as well as low-power USB devices that you connect. Overall, it does its job well and has no major flaws. However, it could be nice to have more USB3 ports or other extras. it is a very reasonable price. and i give it four stars.
