Long but worth reading. Amazing but returned - not for me

First of all I want to say this Pet Gear No-Zip Double Stroller is amazing, it's strong, the turquoise color is beautiful! I actually spent a lot of money to get this stroller in turquoise instead of magenta and it really is the perfect turquoise in my opinion. Why they are priced differently I don't know - I think the more popular colors sell for more. However, I had to return this stroller for more than a few reasons and I want to share it with you because sometimes it's so difficult to order things online without extremely detailed descriptions. #1 - This stroller is an ANIMAL! It's very hard! I'm not a little girl and I can easily handle the weight of this stroller, but trying to fold it up and load it into the back of my SUV without damaging, bumping or scratching my SUV and stroller is cumbersome. That being said, it also means it's VERY solid and VERY well made - I can't beat it for that. That lasts a lifetime! #2 - Knowing how to fold it up and get it ready to load in your car is a real pain. It opens like a dream, but collapsing is a whole different matter. It doesn't fold/fold easily or well and I don't know how the heck I ever put it back in the box to return it! #3 - The rear wheels make it extremely wide and I can't even slide it in a regular sized door. That would mean rolling it up to even get it out the front or back door, and down the steps to even use it. I think if my doors were wider it wouldn't matter, but I measured it with a tape measure from end to end of the rear wheels and it's exactly 28 inches wide. I couldn't put it in any room of my house to roll it in there and store it and that would make me lug it up the stairs to the basement and that probably wouldn't have happened without tripping and injuring myself would have. #4 - The front of the stroller basket has a piece of Velcro and a clip that should attach it to the frame of the stroller. It works, but as soon as I put my 26 lb dog in and he started moving, the Velcro came loose and the clip wasn't strong enough to hold him in place. If I had kept it I would have built something to hold it in place and not flush/flatten loose. #5 โ€“ I bought this stroller specifically for the advertised size. The internal dimensions of the "cabin" are listed as 27 inches long and 20 inches wide, which are very correct and very accurate measurements (I measured the basket). My Texas Heeler would fit in this stroller for now and cargo capacity will never be an issue for him, but due to the rounded curvature of the front of the basket I feel like it's a waste of space and that it would be square B. curved/oval instead , this would provide much more comfort for the dogs as every available inch of interior space is used for extra space. #6 - All of these reasons I come back are just MY personal experiences and preferences. I wanted to love this stroller, I really loved this stroller. This is absolutely amazing in so many ways. It's superbly built, there wasn't a single extra stitch in it (I have OCD and I've looked through every inch of it) and I have no doubt it probably would have lasted me longer than my growing pup. It really is that well made and designed! However, it's just not for me. - It's too heavy and unwieldy to try and fold and load - and I'm no pushover. - In fact, the inner or "carrying" part of the basket would be much better if it was square in front, giving your pet every available inch of comfort. doesn't get any bigger, and if it doesn't get longer than it already is and needs that extra space, if the basket were square instead of the round oval it is, I'd happily keep it. IF I had room to roll it into an open storage space and didn't have to fold/stack it due to its width and doesn't go through my doors I'd happily keep it. I don't want to discourage anyone from buying this stroller. I loved it so much that I even spent a lot of extra money to get this amazing turquoise color, unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I mean I was TOTALLY pumped when I ordered this stroller and then very, very disappointed when it didn't work for me. I really didn't want to send it back. I finally found the answer to my prayers! I didn't want to give up on finding the right size stroller for my girl. I ordered an HPZ Pet Rover XL and this bad boy is oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh It meets all my needs perfectly. It is long enough due to the square front of the stroller, which by the way is also NOT LOCKED (every centimeter counts!), it can be for big or small animals, due to the expansion possibilities it has, it folds up super fast and easy than normal stroller, it rolls through any of my doors with ease and weighs only 23 pounds which is easy to handle! I have so many great things to say about the HPZ Pet Rover XL - it also has a 3 year wheel swap program if needed as well as a lifetime warranty, while the Pet Gear double stroller I returned only had a 30 day warranty. Warranty. Gear products in my house so Pet Gear was my first choice for a stroller. I just wanted to explain what I think the pros and cons were for me because I would appreciate having that kind of information before ordering and having to return it. I wish you were in the same boat as me - maybe check out HPZ Pet Rover Strollers - they have different options for pets of all shapes and sizes.
