I really like them. They have large lenses and it is important to remember that the enlarged part is small at the bottom. This seems to be quite different with bifocals, so I'd classify ones with slightly enlarged sections (like these) as what you wear primarily for distance viewing and occasionally for reading, as the reading portion stays out of sight, so to speak. your way if you don't seek it. Others are designed primarily for reading, with the ability to consciously focus to see further. (e.g. the Brooklyn Great Oval). I use them for fly fishing, they protect my eyes a bit from an accidental hook and allow me to look down the river normally but then I tie tiny knots with an oversized portion looking down at my hands.
