Easy to paint with watercolors or acrylics. I prefer to paint them with watercolors, my wife and daughter with acrylics. The color absorbs well and leaves enough to vibrate. They are thin but not brittle and still tough. No problems with deformation or with water colors. The quality seems fine for our needs. Some ghosts don't have a hole at the top, but there is enough room to thread a rope through. In general we have plenty for our needs, but we will give them to friends in the neighborhood. All in all a great find, family loves them and a great way to spend the day painting with music in the background.
