They are perfect for what I need. I bought a pair of baby shoes and the label on the back is so ugly that I bought them to take off. They work great and the shoes look a lot better. They will work with any thread you need to take off. It's easy to hold, and the pins help remove the thread by sliding it under the loop. Worked great for me and you get a few if you lose one.
