Review on 💾 G.Skill Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200 CL14-14-14-34 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory (PC4-25600) Model F4-3200C14D-16GFX by Star Bell

Place this kit in a Gigabyte B450 AC Mini-ITX gaming motherboard with a 2700x processor. Updated BIOS to support AGESA 1.0.0.6. The system will start POST and configure Windows to show this motherboard as XMP profile #2 (3200 setting). Windows occasionally blue screened and applications crashed unexpectedly due to memory corruption. So I decided to boot the system for memtest. All tests pass without fail, except for the hammer test. Failure of the hammer test indicates high frequency bit flipping, which means one or more of the chips in my kit cannot run at 3200. After playing around with voltages and timings by hand, I found that this kit just fell through the silicon lottery. However, the kit works reliably with another XMP profile, namely 2933, with the same timings as the 3200 profile.
