****Update**** I've been using them at night for about 40 consecutive days. I've reduced it to once every few weeks and my eyes are still fine! Symptoms of dryness and white patches have not returned. I'd like to start off by reviewing something on Revain or any other site for the first time and I'll list all the products I've tried. This can get long and I'm sorry but I want to document everything I've tried to help others rule things out. I feel the need because I want to help others as others have helped me with their feedback. In September 2017 I started having very severe dry eyes. I started waking up with my eyes glued together and then it got to the point where my eyes were very dry during the day. I had a very bad panic attack, I thought my eyes would be like this for the rest of my life because I googled everything and realized I had glandular dysfunction or something else that wasn't treated. I read post after post about the dry eye zone and other sites where people are looking for help. Blinking was all I could focus on and perceive and it became very difficult to get ready for school. I couldn't wear makeup or contact lenses, which made my depression worse. The first doctor I saw said he hadn't noticed any problems with my eyes and sent me home with a sample of Systane eye drops. These didn't help at all. I started taking flaxseed and krill oil with omega 3 and eye vitamin but no noticeable improvement. I went to the second doctor and he diagnosed me with staph blepharitis. He prescribed me two antibiotics, bacitracin ointment for a month and moxifloxacin eye drops for 2 weeks. He also recommended Ocusoft eye scrubs. There was an improvement, but not much. I went to the third doctor, "Dry Eye Specialist". He took pictures of my glands and saw no problems and basically said the dry eye symptoms I described to him didn't match what he was seeing and he didn't see blepharitis. He prescribed hot compresses for two weeks. There was a bit more improvement but I still need the drops to get through the day. I've tried Colliodal Silver Spray, antibacterial wipes, petroleum jelly, castor oil, coconut oil (everything I've read on various sites), nothing has worked. I went back to my second optometrist desperately asking for help. He referred me to the 4th doctor. This doctor said he saw mild blepharitis on my eyelashes but didn't know what caused it. He prescribed me Avenova twice a day with a solution of Neutrox spray. I started using it on January 10th 2018 but after a few days I didn't feel like my eyes had changed much but I used it twice a day for a whole 2 weeks. I got Cliradex in the mail (I put off buying it due to the price) and started using it at night before bed and left it on my eyes/face overnight. As others have said, they sting and dry the skin under my eyes a bit, but I've started cleaning my face/eyes with alcohol-free witch hazel when I wake up to help with skin irritation. This is my holy grail routine. Cliradex wipe before bed, alcohol-free witch hazel after waking (I use Thayer rose petals). I have 7 more Cliradex wipes left and have ordered 2 more boxes because I've read that some people say they should be used for 6-8 weeks or 60 days in case of mites. I'm not sure if this is the cause of my blepharitis/dry eye but at this point it seems likely. I hope I don't have to keep using it for "maintenance" because of the price, but if I do, at least I have a solution. I am sincerely grateful that I found her. I don't need or use eye drops. My eyes are not dry. And as another reviewer said, I'm not thinking about my eyes or blinking. My heart has pity on those who have suffered for years and still suffer <3 In addition to drying out my eyes, I get white "storms" on the tips of my eyelashes and white patches on the outer corners of my eyes. I've attached an image in case it can help anyone. I wish you all good health <3
