Not being a big fan of sound I can tell you this product does what I need it to do. The stereo male to male cable is designed to transfer audio from your 3.5mm input to a 3.5mm output. For me this means I can plug my smartphone into the 3.5mm jack on my car stereo and listen to Pandora/receive calls on the car speakers. While it may not be as effective for those of us who have bought cars with Bluetooth, this product works for those of us who don't. It seems to me that the twisted ones in the car interfere. The tugging sensation from the spool makes you want to rip or get away from you as you try to program what you want to hear. Also, my previous adapter's body was thick around the 3.5mm adapter, which can be a problem if you have a case on your phone. The Monoprice cable has a much thinner body, making it easier to use.
