The lids on both of my 5 gallon containers have been removed. It is definitely better than buying 2 new containers for 20-50 dollars each and also deal with new government containers. the mandatory security features that everyone complains about. I think I can avoid spilling fuel myself, thank you very much. The plastic seems to be of good quality - it seems to flex a bit more than the old hard plastic caps (which I like). Not sure how long they will last. Got new injector seals. I hope I don't have to buy a new leakproof can in my lifetime.
