Paying an extra $100 for a wireless model turned out to be a big mistake. VZ-X creates/broadcasts its own wireless network that you can connect your Apple TV or iPad to. But sometimes our 4K Apple TV wouldn't connect, and other times it would connect but then slow down so much that it couldn't be used. The image was completely frozen for seconds and often minutes. Sometimes the network connection "broke" and the Apple TV would not connect. The VZ-X and Apple TV 4K were 15 feet apart. Very disappointed. The day we opened the box, I checked the wifi function and it worked great for about 15 minutes. It was a test run. Three days later my wife had a live watercolor class and the wireless connection was an absolute nightmare. I cannot recommend VZ-X. We'll try to bring this model back and upgrade to a cheaper HDMI-only version. Update: Ipevo technical support responds within 24 hours on average, but only via email, so trying to fix this issue is a hassle. They reply with some suggestions every other day, then I reply with the results of their steps, and then another day goes by before I get another reply.
