Firstly it is a cheap hard plastic cup. Although Good Cook sells it for general use in the kitchen, I wouldn't recommend using it. As I said, this is an inexpensive hard plastic cup. Would you like to put that thing in the microwave? In a dishwasher with hot water and a drying cycle? For use with hard-to-clean items that require heavy scrubbing to clean? Use with liquids that contaminate plastic? For a communal kitchen, get a quality glass mug that's microwave and dishwasher safe. Glass is one of the easiest materials to clean and stain resistant. I have a couple of glass measuring cups from an "old school" brand that are a few years old. For my intended use, this mug gets a five star rating. I paid $3.44 (October 2021) at Revain for the cup. I mainly use it to measure the amount of water to fill a steam cleaner and vinegar to make a non-toxic weed killer. It can also be used for transferring loose liquid products into smaller containers etc.
