We have stored our Christmas ornaments in rubbermaid containers for years with each ornament painstakingly wrapped in paper or bubble wrap. While they're sturdy, they're also heavy and large. They take up a ton of unnecessary space and I honestly don't think they keep them any safer than these cloth boxes. I have extremely expensive ornaments, some have been discontinued, some were purchased in specialty stores, and some have been handed down through family. These containers are keeping our ornaments safe, they take up less space but they hold more because each ornament is in its own compartment and they're lightweight. I'm very happy with these and I'll keep purchasing them as I keep buying ornaments!
