There are much better straps out there at better prices. You just have to look. These straps are driving me crazy for being as tight as you can get. So I wouldn't trust them with anything difficult. No matter how hard you pull and pull, you'll never be satisfied with how attached they are to each other. You need a ratchet for this. In this case these resp. approx. They aren't great and they won't convince me to use them considering you can get a set of 4 heavy mounts for a similar price at many hardware stores. You can use them for light work. I would tie down light materials that go to landfill, groceries, or anything else that doesn't necessarily need a hard landing. I would not use them on ATVs on the back of your truck or motorcycle. Anything that can move and damage your car isn't something you want to use it for. They also have applications. They are quickly applied and quickly removed again. You don't have to worry about the ratchet getting tangled. Is it worth the cost overall? Not for me, but for you, who knows. All I know is that I can go to my local store and buy 4 ratchets for the same price.
