Real stainless steel but otherwise totally useless. The production leaves an exposed and rough "edge" at the junction of the spout with the funnel body. This is problematic for several reasons: (1) It's a non-NSF compliant part (it's unlikely to clean properly and could encourage microbial growth), so you can't use it for food, beverage, or anything else in the lab , it prevents the hopper from completely emptying which means you may lose or stick together some of the materials you placed inside, and (3) it may injure you if you try to knock out the remaining contents. An absolutely terrible product.
