Review on ⚡️ Fisher Price 12 Volt Battery Harness Connector: A Hassle-Free Power Solution by Jeremy Romero

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked great with my green Power Wheels Dune Racer but had an issue.

We have a green 12V Power Wheels Dune Racer. The original battery stopped working (probably our fault for not getting a regular charge) so I need to replace it, but I didn't want to spend $60 on a new battery. You can actually use a regular 12V battery (there are different capacities - the original PW battery is 9.5Ah). The trick is to find a way to connect the battery to the car and the charger. You can smash the top of the PW battery, pull the connectors out and attach them to the new battery, but that's a bit of work and I think it might require some soldering. Alternatively you can buy this connector. One end connects to the car and charger, the other end connects to the battery. The batteries have leads, one black and one red. You simply put red wire on red wire and black wire on black wire. No problem. However, I encountered a problem with my connector. When I connected the battery to the car, it worked perfectly. But when I connected it to my charger (I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-CR-1-Universal-Battery-Charger/dp/B005F1YJ3I/ref=pd_sim_21_7?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B005F1YJ3I&pd_rd_r= 95A7NWXWCDQHDVV2HHP7&pd_rd_w =BhDHF&pd_rd_wg=W0owO&psc=1&refRID=95A7NWXWCDQHDVV2HHP7, which is significantly superior to the one that came with the car), the charge indicator did not show that the battery was being charged. This plug and the original PW battery are connected to the charger and the car in different ways. The inside of this plug, where the charging cable plugs in, has two metal contacts. The wires on mine were too far apart for the charger to make proper contact. After pulling the wires out a bit (while this connector wasn't connected to anything), I plugged the charging cable back in and it worked fine. I used this battery: https://www.amazon.com/ExpertPower-EXP12120-Volt-Rechargeable-battery/dp/B00A82A2ZS/ref=pd_sim_21_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00A82A2ZS&pd_rd_r=95A7NWXWCDQHDVV2HHP7&pd_rd_w=BhDHF&pd_rd_wg=W0owO&psc=1&refRID=95A7NWXWCDQHDVV2HHP7.
