Review on Fjallraven Greenland Wax 100g: The Ultimate Protective Solution for Outdoor Gear by Summer Hendricks

Well I'm an artist and I like to keep my art travel kits in the bags I make to order for myself. I needed a new one and settled on a waxed canvas and chose this one as it was a decent price for the quantity. I ended up using 2/3 brick because I wanted my fabric to be HIGHLY waxed and very stiff, not just waterproof. It was very time consuming but if I used the product as intended it would be a pretty fast app. I found that heating up the wax model and working with smaller pieces worked better for the heavy duty work I wanted. I would recommend using it cold if you are just waterproofing your item and don't want it to discolour. Simply rub and melt with a hair dryer. The wax will darken your fabric, but if you apply it correctly as intended, you won't notice it. In my case it is very noticeable but I pre-painted the canvas and expected the color to be darker with the wax and more like when wet. The wax has a very faint odor when cold, you can smell the faint odor of paraffin if you put your nose in the cloth. And in the heat, it smells a little like beeswax. but you have to look for the smell of anything. Overall I am happy with my results and if I ever need anything else I will buy this product again.
