Ruined my project

Does not work on scrapbook paper. Used to tape borders to a 10ft paper sign and they fell off immediately. I had to buy spray glue which made a mess - and didn't stick to the glued paper. My project is for a party and I'm confused. How bad it looks but I don't have time to make another one. I wish I had bought something else.

Same as Elmers EXTRA STRENGTH & Elmers ALL PURPOSE sticks but EXTREME cost more. I tested them
