I like it very much as an alternative to the door handle strip, which is only used to attract the attention of small eyes. It's easy to install (make sure you drill a hole before inserting the screw or you can split the wood on the door frame like I did). It helps to place it as close to the edge as possible. So if someone (big or small!) tries to open the door without moving the lock, the door barely moves. They are plastic so I can see that if someone tries really hard to open the door with a lot of force it will break in half, or if you have a child/children who are VERY determined to enter it can Be that it doesn't delay (in this case there is a metal version for a few euros more than a lock from another manufacturer), but for us it's great because our little explorer gives up pretty quickly if something doesn't open , and on to the next nonsense company. I had a door where the lock wouldn't slip when the door was closed, so I called the manufacturer (the number was at the end of the instructions) and immediately spoke to someone who walked me through possible workarounds and we eventually found a solution! The person I spoke to was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and I was so excited I could get him to work with this door as it was the MAIN door I wanted to lock! I've already ordered more and will be waiting about a month to see if there are any problems or breakages, but if all goes well I'll definitely be buying one of these for every door in my house! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that since it's plastic it can break, and also because I don't like drilling and then screwing door frames, but that's a small price to pay . for peace of mind they bring me.
