Pros: The stand is heavy and has a lot of resistance at the joints, allowing heavier monitors to be held securely. Holds position well. Cons: The VESA mounting plate is made of thin material. Both the mounting plate and mounting plate hinge allow for LARGE movement. The overall height of the stand is a bit small for my taste. Verdict: The stand is currently used to hold a 19.5-inch touchscreen monitor used in both point-of-sale and traditional computing applications. When using the checkout application (as a touchscreen), the monitor wobbles a lot. This wobble is caused by the thin material of the VESA mounting plate, the hinge of the mounting plate, and the (to be honest) poor VESA mounting of the monitor you are currently using. Plastic allows for more flexibility At least 40-50% of the jitter is caused by the poor design of the VESA drawing surface of the monitor itself, but the jitter is made worse by the poor design of the hinge and thin plate. Final Thoughts: The stand works as advertised but could do with some improvement by beefing up the components a bit.
