Review on HJC Helmets C70 Helmet (X-Small) (SEMI-Flat Anthracite) by Daniel Anderson

I did a lot of research before purchasing this helmet and I think it was worth it. When choosing a helmet, size and shape are the most important factors. Remember that this helmet fits a person with a medium oval or a long oval head. My head is exactly 23 inches and has a medium oval head shape. The size chart shows that the medium size is too small and the large size is too big. I'm between sizes. The shape of the head plays a role here. Since I have a medium oval I went for a large one as it is a medium or long oval helmet. This makes the helmet slightly narrower vertically. The big ones fit me perfectly. If designed strictly for a long oval, it might be too small, and if designed for a rounder head, it might be too big. This is a very comfortable helmet with very good airflow despite having only one front opening. Presumably the HJC C70 should perform well on DOT, European and UK SHARP standards. However, I have read on some websites that helmets sold in the US are different from helmets sold abroad. Please do your own research. While that's true, this helmet has proven itself time and time again as a life saver. There is a lot of evidence for this. The only downside I found was the sun visor. Doesn't go all the way down. There is a small gap at the bottom. It's not really a problem for me, but it might bother some. Even when the sun visor is down, it restricts airflow a bit. That doesn't bother me either, since I live in a cooler region. There are also rumors that this helmet has been discontinued and it may be difficult to find replacement parts in the near future. Please do your own research again. Despite the flaws this is a very durable, well built and comfortable helmet and I'm glad I have it.
