Review on πŸ‘ Heart Felt Wool Dryer Balls (4 Pack XL): Natural Reusable Non-Toxic Fabric Softener by Tricia Pence

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm glad I bought! in Housewares

I've been waiting to write a review because I've been on the fence about all the talk about balls of yarn, but I disagree, so here's my review. My laundry gets softer with these heart felt balls of yarn and I trim everything with fabric softener. That in itself is money back in my pocket without having to buy fabric softener. I add essential oils to the balls and it works well to add a light scent, but I usually just use the balls with no oil added. Whether or not to add an essential oil is entirely down to individual preference. This reduced the drying time a bit, but maybe not as much as some people say in their reviews. That being said, dryer brand, dryer age, and dryer temperature are all differences, but I can honestly say that this reduced the drying time to some extent. Now for the cons, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. When I received the balls of yarn, they had an awful smell, almost like motor oil. I don't know if they smelled on delivery or something but I let them air out for a good week and most of the smell was gone but they still had a slight smell. I went ahead and used them to dry a bundle of laundry and the clothes smelled slightly of balls after they dried so I washed the clothes again and used the wool balls in the dryer again and it was fine and they didn't smell bad. how they might have simply smelled in storage or during transport. Without blaming the manufacturer, of course, because a lot can happen on the road. I'm glad I bought! And I'm glad I didn't throw them away when I got them. They work!
