We used it to turn on the patio and garage lights at night. It was such a lifesaver! We don't have to go outside every night to plug them in. The quality so far is excellent. It would be nice if two remote controls were included in the kit, but not critical. I love the feature of covering unused outlets and love that there are three outlets. Great Value! We definitely recommend! *** To update. After using the two LED strings outdoors for about 5 months they just blink and click and I can't turn anything on or off. I assume water got in, even with the outlets pointing down, and now it's shot through.
